The Godalming Group

The Godalming Home Educators group meets alternate Mondays.

We are a group of families that have chosen, for various reasons, to Home educate our children, and this group is a way of bringing the Home Ed community together for support, play and learning. The age range of the current group is from 0 to 12 years and is a mixture of boys and girls. The families come from both within Godalming and from the surrounding areas.

All sessions are free play and we usually have a craft table, sometimes with a seasonal or topical theme and families bring along toys and games to share.

The hall is clean and tidy with a smooth wooden floor and it has a lovely feel about it. The children enjoy the outside area with its play house and sand pit when the weather is dry. We also like the toy cupboard - and often use a few toys that are in there - particularly the tunnel and the tent.

There is a nice little kitchen with large serving window into the hall where we can make a cup of tea, put out snacks, and in the case of some themed sessions make simple foods for the children to try.

The cost for each session is £1 per participating child, plus £1 per family.
