So what was Schedule 1 about really?
Home education being used as a cover for abuse and forced marriage … * no it was really about educational standards … except that no it wasn’t it was really all about safeguarding … except that actually the “the point of the compulsory registration scheme” was to know more precisely where children were.
It would have helped their case if they had picked one lie and stuck with it don’t you think?
* You’ll notice that I skipped a whole year of flip flops, life is too short to hunt them all down!

Yes, indeed.
They’re reverting to what they think will give them victory next time. They are really vile.

recevied today this letter to Peter
Dear Master Williams
Thank you for your letter of 18th of March 2010 about home education which has been passed to me for reply.
Our propsoals to Legislate for a light touch registration and monitoring scheme for home educating families have now been removed from the Children,Schools and Families Billl to enable some parts of the Bill to be passed into law before Parliament is dissolved.
However ,government remains committed to introducing such a scheme and to the provision of additional support for home educating families.
Yours sincerely

It wasn’t about any of them. IMO it was about scapegoating EHE law in the Khyra Ishaq trial to get Birmingham Childrens Services off the hook.
If that juror hadn’t got ill, or whatever it was that paused the trial in June 2009, we would not have stood a chance of getting the legislation stopped and the whitewash exposed.
I am very very interested in the Sharon Shoesmith Haringay cover-up scapegoating (with a report by our very own Graham B commissioned by our dear friend Ed B) now being exposed in the courts. I think this was intended to be the same sort of thing, and I don’t think EITHER of the whitewashes was ever supposed to be exposed as such.
